New Signboard for South Side Presbyterian Church

The South Side Presbyterian Church is seeking to raise $2,500 to install a new exterior signboard to identify the Church and to inform people about activities they may want to attend. The former  signboard was totally demolished by a vehicle in November 2018 and no one has accepted responsibility for that. (Before and after photos are here for your viewing.) The Church has a $2,500 insurance deductible, which they cannot afford to pay. 

Aside from being a spiritual oasis and worship center welcoming ALL, South Side Presbyterian Church is an active center providing ministries for the community and its residents for everyone’s holistic well-being. It’s located at the corner of South 20th and Sarah Streets in the urban Pittsburgh neighborhood called South Side. Its Co-Creators Youth Club is of lifelong benefit to dozens of youth each year from South Side and South Pittsburgh’s hilltop neighborhoods. The Open Mic Coffee House is enjoyed by the creative performers and attenders alike. Women Sharing Wisdom provides a safe space for women to build supportive friendships, learn new things, and have fun. A food pantry, clothing pantry, and other emergency help make a big difference when people are in need. Numerous AA groups also use the building as does an afterschool. The gym is used for the afterschool, Youth Club, Spiritual Breath and Movement classes, Sunday youth activities, and basketball groups. The Church is also active in partnerships with other groups to improve life and wellness and to build up peace in the region and world.
