Friends, family, and loyal patrons,
In light of the pandemic disaster and its effect on the hospitality industry, we are starting a New Rivers staff relief fund. Like millions of hospitality workers nation wide, our staffs' employment was taken away in an instant. No warning, no time to prepare, no time to save a little extra for a rainy day or for the slow season, nothing. Jobs, gone in a blink.
Our staff at the restaurant is the literal backbone of New Rivers. They work tirelessly to cook your food, stir your favorite drink, wash your plates, provide you with great service; the list goes on. These folks need your help. We have been facilitating the filing of unemployment and cooking takeaway meals every day for every staff member who wants/needs it. It's what we can do right now but we realize it's not enough. We know that these times are uncertain for a lot of people and donating isn't an option. We understand everyone has different means. If you are able to donate to our staff, it would be so appreciated and, believe me, every bit counts and matters, no matter how modest. Our plan is to simply divide the donations evenly among our full team. Servers, bartenders, hosts, cooks, dishwashers, back waiters will all get an equal piece of whatever pie you folks help create. I hate to ask anybody for anything, ever. But these are unprecedented events that have shaken our industry to the ground; so I'm asking. Please consider a donation to our staff.
