New Prince George Disc Golf Course

The Prince George Disc Golf community is looking for funding to install a new and exciting 18-Hole disc golf course.
What is disc golf? Disc golf is a sport much like the traditional sport golf, but is played with discs in place of balls and clubs. Discs come in different shapes, sizes, types of plastics, and more. Each having unique flight characteristics, such a varying amount of distance or fade. Disc Golf is a low impact activity that gets people out and walking. And best of all, disc golf is a sport that’s fun for all ages, and skill levels.

Prince George has had a 9 hole disc golf course at Rainbow park for 12 years, and has served the city well. However, the course is small, the park has a fair amount of visitors, and disc golf is a fast growing sport. It is time for Prince George to grow and support it’s disc golf community by building a full 18 hole disc golf course.
Members of the Prince George Disc Golf community have been working with the Hart Ski Hill to design and build an 18 hole disc golf course on their property, to be played during their off season. The course was laid out in the spring of 2020 and local players enjoyed the new course through to the late fall. This course was also added to UDisc, a disc golf course directory, which allowed other players to find it and navigate the holes.
With the success of the course at the Hart Ski Hill, it is now time to take the next steps and to install proper equipment to improve the disc golf experience. This includes 18 sets of tee boxes, baskets, signage, etc. However, being a community driven sport, means building and maintaining a course requires funding from the community.The hope is to have funding as soon as possible so the equipment can be delivered, and installation can happen once the ground thaws or soon after. We are reaching out to local businesses, the Prince George community and all those looking to help build recreational opportunities in our city and bring this vision into a reality.
