NEW Lanesborough Astro Turf Pitch

The Lanesborough-Ballyleague area BADLY needs an all weather Astro soccer pitch. The present field at the Community College provides a field for nearly 200 boys and girls to play football every year but it is very wet and needs to be drained . Now a local committee has been formed to do the job but we need YOUR support. Ballyboro Soccer club is applying for a sports capital grant on October 15th and we need 5 per cent of the project cost to start with. We will have to submit our bank statement with the application. We have the support of the Community College, all who use the pitch and the ETB. The project is costed at 200,000 Euro so we need to raise 10,000 Euro in 2 weeks and we can do it only one way - with the support of ALL parents and all the older lads and ladies who will also be using the new astro pitch so please PLEASE help us out here with a contribution - no matter how small . If 500 people gave 20 euro each we would be there but we will accept ALL donations gratefully - OR if you're in Lanesboro at any stage please call to Joe O’Brien in the corner shop or Alan Farrell in the Yacht bar to make a donation.
UPFATE: Our withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the pitch project: We have now reached our first target & have transferred your funds to the club account
The funds will go towards the ground works in phase 1 of the project
