Dear fellow families of New Horizon Academy Minnetonka Blvd Location,
My husband Dan and I (Jessica Weinhold) set up this GoFundMe page as an opportunity for us to show our appreciation for our amazing teachers . We have two boys at New Horizon Academy Minnetonka Blvd; Mason in Pre-School and Nolan in Transition. Over the past few weeks, several parents and I have been talking about how we can support our cherished teachers and staff at New Horizon Academy Minnetonka Blvd location as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to put a damper on our routines, work environment and hours, and adds new stresses. I know many of us are searching for ways to support our community during this unprecedented time, and the amazing women who care for our children are close to our hearts.
While New Horizon Academy Minnetonka Blvd location remains open, enrollment has been significantly impacted. Many enrollment decisions are being made due to the Minnesota school closings made effective by Governor Walz last week. This means that many of our child care teachers now have flexible schedules along with hour being deceased. This will likely lead to significant financial hardships for some of our cherished child care teachers who our children love and adore.
I would like to invite you to consider contributing to an appreciation fund to support our beloved child care teachers working with limited hours through this crisis. They are the trusted bond that guide and nurture our children while we are away. The teachers may need a little pick me up in this “new” world we are living in. This is one small way we can show our appreciation, thankfulness and truly honor a profession – one that maybe many of us would never be able to do and have more appreciation for now than ever before.
The funds will be evenly gifted to each of the teachers working with limited hours through this crisis that work at New Horizon Academy Minnetonka Blvd location. The amount of each gift will solely depend on the amount of funds we gather together.
There is NO SET DONATION and we DO NOT want you to donate if it means it would be a burden on you or family during this challenging new time. If donating financially is not in your means, please feel free to write a note or letter for our childcare teachers and staff as they would love to hear your appreciation too!
We also want to keep this appreciation support GoFundMe page as quiet and anonymous as possible. This GoFundMe page is something unique and special to our New Horizon Academy Minnetonka Blvd location and reflects how amazing we think our teachers and staff are!
