NEW HEART & NEW START FOR ANGIE

Donation protected

In December 2016 Angie was diagnosed with Viral Pnuemonia, 10 days later she wasn’t feeling any better so she went back to the ER and was told that her heart was significantly enlarged, the ER recommended that Angie see a Cardiologist ASAP. After the initial visit with the Cardiologist it was clear that Angie was miss diagnosed in the ER, Angie didn’t have pnuemonia ; she was dealing with Heart Failure! It has progressively gotten worse over the last 13 months, and has most recently turned in to “End-State” Heart Failure.  Angie has recently been placed on the Heart Transplant list, while a heart transplant would be a blessing it can take some time to find a match! In the interim Angie’s insurance has approved an LVAD, which is a Left Ventricle Assist Device, this will give Angie the opportunity to come home and live a quality of life she hasn’t been able to live for the last year, and more importantly giver her time with her family, while she waits for a Heart Transplant match. Angie’s LVAD surgery will be on March 19th, with a road of recovery that is unknown at this time. While Angie and her Family are excited about the opportunity of a new beginning at the young age of 38, they know the finances of all this will be a challenge. The pre and post medical expense will be a hill to climb, on top of the normal expenses of life, they will not be able to do it alone!
