New hearing aid for Jessica Lemmer

The reason I have set up this GoFundMe page is raise money for my dear sweet sister Jessica who is in dire need of a new processor for her cochlear implant. She has no idea, and my goal is to raise the money in time for her birthday October 14th. Most of you that are reading this already know her story, but for those who don't, here's a quick summary. When my sister was only 3 years old she had bacterial meningitis that the doctors didn't catch in time, causing her to go into a coma. When she came out of the coma she was 100% hearing impaired. When she was 4 years old she had the surgery for a cochlear implant, giving her the ability to hear better than most people that are only “partially” hearing impaired. If you know my sister, you know her “disability” didn't slow her down or keep her from doing the things she loves. Unfortunately, over the last few years she has been experiencing technical issues with her implant that Cochlea has refused to take responsibility for, leaving her to use“defective”, substandard equipment. She is now eligible for an upgrade which she desperately needs but it's going to cost 2,500$ even with insurance. The short term goal is the 2,500$ for the actual processor. Anything over that, up to 3,000$ would go towards the doctors appointments to get it set up. Anything over 3,000$ I am donating to the Ronald McDonald Fund because they are the foundation that helped our family when we needed it the most. I love my sister to death, she has been my best friend for 31 years. Please help me, help her hear again, she deserves it
