Dear All Nippon Express Employees –
As you are aware, Hurricane Maria struck the Island of Puerto Rico with devastating force on September 16, 2017. The hurricane is regarded as one of the worst natural disasters in Puerto Rico’s history. Hurricane Maria has caused catastrophic damage which has led to a major humanitarian crisis. 6 weeks after the hurricane many are still without power and lack sufficient supplies of food and water.
Nippon Express employees have also suffered – Mr. Jose Garcia (Senior Manager), Mr. Christopher Rivera (Team Leader), Mr. Angel Santiago (Air Import), and Mr. Eduardo Rivera (Operations) and their families have all been severely impacted. Nippon Express has responded to this tragedy by sending a weekly care package (skids of water, food and basic supplies) to the NEU SJU employees shown above. This has helped, but much more support is needed.
This Go-Fund-Me page has been set-up to provide additional financial support to the above Nippon employees and their families. The site has been made accessible to all NEU employees. Any voluntary contribution you may care to make, will be greatly appreciated by the Nippon San Juan Team. The site will be managed by the East Region Sr. Management team and funds will be sent directly to the SJU team members.
Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
Steve Concannon
Vice President, East Region
