Neurological Rehab Unit Garden

Donation protected
For the first 15 days in May I will be Fundraising to raise awareness of spinal strokes. May is stroke awareness month and spinal injury day is on the 15th of May.
After suffering from a spinal stroke myself caused by covid-19, in January this year and still recovering at Preston Hospital on the neurological rehab unit; I am fundraising for the rehabilitation garden, which has been a massive help in my recovery.
I will be doing a different hairstyle and make up daily from the 1st May, every day till the 15th. I will be getting help for help from the healthcare assistances in here whilst doing the make up myself as I'm still not fully recovered in my shoulders and arms.
The team have worked tirelessly in Royal Preston Hospital to save my life, then teach my body how to work properly again through therapy, and this is the least I can do for them.
The garden on the Rehabilitation unit allows me to have fresh air, quiet time to relax with a cuppa, enjoy the sun when its out, and improves my mental health. Not only that but other patients have been using it for gardening which really helps their recovery so i'd like to make it more available for patients, and help raise money for the staff to add improvements.
I am hoping this will help the summer be more enjoyable for patients that are here as long as I am/have been in rehab. It's been extremely difficult not being able to see family and friends in this pandemic, which is still affecting visiting. But the garden provides us patients a sanctuary.
Thank you so much for your support!
