Nestor's Funeral Expenses

This past weekend this sweet angel went home to be with the Lord.  Néstor Boscán  was a 9-year-old boy, who died unexpectedly on November 26, leaving behind his grieving parents and his 3 year old sister. Néstor was a normal functioning child, when he developed Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome after ingesting an unknown pathogen. He required renal dialysis and also suffered a stroke, which left him with right-sided weakness. Néstor endured seizures, a craniectomy and multiple surgeries.


Néstor's family has only been in the United States for just over a year.  The family moved here from Venezuela to seek the best possible medical care and educational opportunities for their child. Néstor overcame many medical obstacles and challenges and defied all odds. He was smart and a true joy and blessing to all those who knew him. Despite his disabilities, Néstor spoke three languages, played the piano, loved to sing, was amazing at math, loved to read Biscuit books, tell jokes and play with his sister. Despite his adversity, he never lost his zest for life. He epitomized love and joy. He was an inspiration to all of us, overcoming limitations while remaining happy and optomistic. 




Néstor's parents and sister have no family here in the United States, and Dad is currently between jobs. Néstor was a 4th grade student at Sargeant Elementary and was adored by his peers and staff. His loss has touched everyone. We are trying to raise funds to offset the cost of Néstor's funeral, which is in two weeks. Even the smallest donation will help this grieving family.
