Nehanda's Boston Conservatory tuition fundraiser

I am Nehanda Peguillan(18), a ballet and contemporary dancer from South Africa. I fell in love with dance 7 years ago and embraced it as a daily practice. Dance is my way of telling stories and having a positive impact on others. The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in the USA has accepted and awarded me a partial scholarship to study for a B.F.A in Contemporary Dance.  I require an additional $12,000 for tuition and $18, 000 for accommodation. With your help, I hope to secure this opportunity before the 15th of July 2020 and begin my first year in September, 2020.

My dance journey has previously led me to local and international stages. I participated in the South African International Ballet Competition (2016 and 2018) and Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition (2017). At both SAIBC competitions, I was awarded a scholarship to attend Zurich Tanz Académie in Switzerland and Conservatório Internacional de Ballet e Dança Annarella Sánchez in Portugal. In addition to competitions, I have also performed in two professional long term productions namely, When Ballet Meets Jazz (2017, 2018) and The Queen Show (2020), where I featured alongside a dance company called Mzansi Ballet and was one of the lead dancers.
