Help to Fund Aspire Bed& Activ Air 8 Mattress

Hello, my name is Rebecca I'm a 28-year-old woman who has very complex bowel and bladder conditions,

my bowel got to where it didn't work anymore my brain doesn't send the signals to empty , I had a total colectomy- A Large Bowel removal and I lost my bladder function called neurogenic bladder, I so have a permanent suprapubic catheter in, I have to go down to St Vincent's surgery every 2 months for sedation for the catheter changes as they are so painful and traumatic I have been waiting for a urostomy bladder stoma for over a year so I wouldn't have to be sedated in surgery every time though I have to wait to see neurologist to know what is happening with the tremors, I have also lost my mobility.

Now are needing help as in July 2023 last year I developed spasms and tremors in my right hand then spascity while sitting in my recliner chair unable to stop movements then progressed having tremors down to my right leg now, I have tremors continuously where at the time before September,

I was using a 4 wheelie walking frame and my mobility scooter though in September I was unable to walk I have not walked since early September due to the tremors they don't stop they are painful had a 12 week hospital stay in Bendigo so now I am bedridden I can't transfer independently at all even to toilet bad bowel incontinence and can't get help during the night, I'm only able to transfer every morning and night with a sara steady sit to stand aid for 3hrs out of bed 9am in a push manual wheelchair doesn't have anchor points for Maxi Taxi then before support worker leaves transfers me back to bed until 6pm as I'm unable to move myself and with the tremors they are very painful,

I am waiting to see a neurologist At the Austin Hosptial though it is a 9-12 month wait.

I am honestly shattered how these tremors have progressed so fast unable to care for myself or move around in my bed so I'm needing urgently help as due to limited mobility in bed so much as my care needs are very high which I don't have the NDIS funding I am waiting for a review.

I have developed pressure sores that are painful so with the funding if someone is willing with a kind generous heart to help would be so special, it is hard for me asking for financial help this funding would go towards what I am needing to purchase a brand aspire king single bed and to purchase the activ 8 air pressure relief mattress to have to try and prevent the pressure sores from staging and any more developing.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it so much, it would mean a lot to me. Thank you so much in advance.

Since going to the local paper the day it was published NDIS have reached out to me agreeing they will review my plan when I have new reports though in the meantime while waiting for the neurologists needing this bed and mattress.
