Trying to Make Ends Meet

Hello my name is Shamra,

I am trying to help my mom raise enough money to replace her water heater. This may sound small to some people but this year has been overwhelming for my mom.

My father has had 4 major strokes during this pandemic and has gone residential at a nursing home. The small amount of money he made to make ends meet ended there. They have never been wealthy but could usually make it from pay check to paycheck.

This year, any extra money they had went to replacing, first the stove, then the washing machine, then the dryer, then the refrigerator (3 times! The last one she had to go with a more expensive model because the cheaper one broke twice); she used what she had to replace all of those it then the dish washer went and there was nothing left (that’s okay she can wash dishes by hand). However now, her hot water heater has gone and there is no where to turn.

My mom is a diabetic and has been skipping doses of her insulin and her other medications because she has no money to get more. She is on disability because she is completely deaf in one ear and almost completely deaf in the other (her hearing aid broke too but there is no money or insurance to fix it) and has a learning disability. She is 61 and trying her best to make it but could use a little help.

I have been doing my best to help when I can however and have given as much as I can.

please we are not asking for the world just a small amount of help to keep going.
