Ned Giblin Cancer Fighting Fund
Donation protected
Ned first came to the United States in 1983, where he spent his nights playing music in The Black Rose, Purple Shamrock and Midnight Court, before becoming the house band in Paddy Burke's on Portland Street.
For years he spent his days perfecting his painting & wallpapering craft in both the U.S. & Ireland, but returned to Boston in 2017 to work for Local DC35 Painting & Wallpapering Union.
This past October, Ned was diagnosed with lung cancer.
He has already finished the first six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, which went well, but will need surgery to remove the mass on his lung, followed by double doses of chemotherapy upon his recovery from surgery.
His union health insurance, which caught the original mass in his lung, expires in early March, and as you can imagine, the surgery to remove the mass is a very expensive one. We are asking you to please donate and help Ned defray some of his hospital expenses. He is currently having treatment at Mt. Auburn hospital in Cambridge, MA.
Thank you very much for your donation.
