As Covid19 has brought so much loss and economic hardship worldwide, “The Fundacion Amigos de Guarderias Infantiles” is no exception. The condition in Honduras is rapidly deteriorating and the non-profit organization is fighting to stay afloat.

Its mission is to educate and create better futures for less-fortunate children in Honduras. It has been providing education and daycare centers for the past 40 years to around 500 underprivileged children, from 6-months old through age 18. These centers are located in San Pedro Sula and Choloma, Honduras.

Daycare services run on a daily basis from 6 AM to 6 PM, providing a variety of services such as bilingual (English-Spanish) education from nursing through 9th grade,  3 meals a day, technology lessons, as well as medical and dental care.

These services enable children to grow up in a healthy, sheltered, and safe learning environment, isolated from gangs and violence. It also grants their parents the opportunity to keep their full-time jobs meanwhile providing a better quality of life to their family.

Due to the pandemic, this non-profit has lost over 90% of the donations and monthly contributions that covered the operational costs. All our fundraising events had to be canceled as well.

It would be tragic to be forced to close doors, leaving so many vulnerable children without education and their parents not being able to keep their jobs to feed their families.

Many of them are brilliant students who just need the opportunity to learn!

La Fundacion Amigos de Guarderías infantiles se ha dedicado durante más de 40 años a educar a niños de escasos recursos de Honduras, específicamente en San Pedro Sula y Choloma.

Con el COVD-19, la situación se está volviendo insostenible, ya que no contamos con las contribuciones que recibimos mensualmente y hemos tenido que cancelar las actividades planeadas para recaudar fondos.

Queremos a toda costa seguir ayudando a nuestros niños, y no tener que cerrar nuestros centros después de más de 40 años, dejando a  mas de 500 niños sin educacion y cuidados.

En nuestros centros los niños reciben clases diariamente, 3 tiempos de comida, clases de computación e inglés, estimulación temprana, servicios de enfermería y odontología, pero más importante es que nuestros niños estan bajo nuestro cuidado de 6am a 6 pm, evitando que entren a maras o pandillas, creciendo en un ambiente de limpieza, educación y armonía.

A nuestros centros llegan niños y niñas de escasos recursos a partir de los 6 meses de edad hasta noveno grado, de esta forma los padres pueden acceder a un trabajo tiempo completo,  obtener un mejor salario y por ende, una mejor calidad de vida.
Con tú ayuda podremos sobrevivir esta etapa, para así poder seguir brindando la educación que tanto necesita nuestro país.
