Saving Sammy's Friends
Donation protected
Sammy was found at 1am wandering the freezing streets of the Bronx on Feb. 14th. He was starved, sickly, dirty and cold. He was brought to NYC animal care and control. During his short stay he contracted a respiratory virus, which turned into pneumonia. He was immediately put on the euthanasia list - as most of these homeless and sick animals are. Sammy is a sweet, friendly, loving dog - like many, who just need kindness and love in return. He was saved thanks to a loving foster but his bills are mounting. Sammy is just one example of millions of dogs who need care and love. Sammy's vet bills are being covered by his foster home but there are so many more like him who need help.
My amazing cousin, jamie has been rescuing highly adoptable dogs from euthanasia for years - lovingly and selflessly saving them.
After pulling them from shelters and euthanasia lists, she places them with various rescue groups and foster homes throughout the country.
There are enormous costs involved in saving these dogs including transportation, cleaning/grooming, vet care, spay/neuter, and food. Some require expensive medical care. Jamie can not continue to save these sweet pups without financial support and I am hoping to find a way to help her.
Our objective in raising money is to provide these dogs with food, shelter and needed medical care. It also goes towards spaying and neutering which is important in stopping the overpopulation problem. We hope to raise funds to be able to continue to save these innocent dogs who deserve a second chance at life.
Thank you,
Elizabeth Petrillo and Jamie Prospero
