NCSG Fort McMurray Family Holiday Support

Christmas is approaching and this year, we have decided to try something new with our seasonal donation, and have chosen to work with a local school in the Fort McMurray region to help us find a few families that could use a bit of help over the holidays.
We are asking those in our NCSG team that are able, to provide a cash donation, so that we can purchase gift cards for the families. These cards will be purchased locally to support the community, and will allow the families the opportunity to buy necessities for the holidays that they may otherwise not be able to afford.
Once we have reached or exceeded our gift goal, we will send information to the team on how much we were able to collect, and share some information on the families that the school has chosen for us.

Here is a little bit about the four Fort McMurray families, selected by a local high school principal, for whom we are collecting $ donations for through our GoFundMe holiday fundraiser. These families could really use a lift up this year. Your donations will go toward buying gift cards to support their immediate needs (food and clothing) as well as the children’s interests.
Family #1 consists of a 17 year old boy and his father who is a single parent and recently lost his job.
Family #2 recently lost one of its parents, and now the father is on his own to look after 4 kids aged 16 (girl), 14 (boy), 9 (boy) and 7 (boy).
Family #3 consists of 2 boys aged 15 and 17, and their parents.
Family #4 represents a family of 8 which includes two teenagers aged 17 (boy) and 15 (girl) who recently lost their parents and went to live with their older sister, her husband, and their 4 kids aged 11 (boy), 4 (girl), 2 (girl), 6 months (boy). On top of their loss and financial challenges, this young family was also impacted by the floods this past spring losing many of their belongings.
