Help mend Jacks roof....please read

I feel absolutely disgusted and sickened that an 80 odd year old man who is one of my neighbours (I won't mention any names) and is being treated for cancer has been ripped off for nearly £10,000. He had 2 young men knock at his door a few weeks ago telling him he had some loose tiles on his roof and they could fix them for a couple of hundred pounds. He agreed and so they did. But then they told him there was something else wrong etc until they ended up renewing the roof and guttering and charged him double the cost at just under £10,000. They didn't use any scaffolding or safety equipment at the time. Anyway within a week after some of the tiles have come off and part the guttering has come down. There are gaps in the tiles and it's leaking. They have also stood on parts of the inside roof causing part of the ceiling to come down and 2 of the bedrooms now leak. There are a list of other things wrong with it too. The roof is going to cost him another £3,500 to have put right. Like he said it's not just the money it's the stress and upset. It's disgusting how somebody could do this to an old man!! This fundraising is to help Jack get a new roof done without having to cost the man anymore money or upset! xx
