I have the opportunity to take a Master of Fine Arts course at the New York Academy of Art to advance my professional skills as an artist, and thus possess a more powerful tool to better articulate my ideas.
In 2006, I was accepted in Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, the faculty of Fine Arts. There I started understanding responsibilities associated with being an artist, though this only added value to this profession. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2010, I pursued my professional development in the academy and in 2012 I graduated with Master of Fine Arts degree.
While studying in the academy I was enabled to participate in diverse projects and exhibitions, which was a valuable experience. That was the period when I was in intensive search of my professional identity and therefore my painting styles and techniques underwent dramatic changes simultaneously with my approach to art itself.
While being actively involved in my profession, I acknowledge the importance of life-long professional development. I am confident in the new educational environment with novel for me visions I would thrive as a professional, since new ideas are what make an artist successful and the profession appealing to society. I regard the academy with the best, in my view, art traditions as a source of new inspirations as well. I would welcome the opportunity to co-operate with the academy community and celebrate new professional breakthroughs as a team and as an individual.
