Issy’s Fundraiser for Birmingham St Marys Hospice

I have signed up for the Great Birmingham Half Marathon and I am raising money for St Mary’s Hospice in Birmingham.

 

This charity is very close to mine and my families heart as it’s where both my Grandma and Grandad spent their last days on this earth. The workers here were nothing but helpful and supportive. What really highlighted how incredible this place is, was when my grandma fell ill with cancer in August 2020. She then caught COVID in September 2020 as she went into the hospice. During her last few days in the hospice we couldn’t visit her, but the workers were by her side when we couldn’t be. Even during the absolute lows of the pandemic this hospice offered love, care and support to our family during a really tough time.
