My unlce Ray Ortega was first introduced to Mr. Adam Brackman when we had our own home town hit by Hurricane Harvey. Mr.Brackman was in need of boats to conduct rescues in our neighboring city, Houston. My unlce and his boat got there as fast as he could to help.
At that time Ray O. joined the Houston Rescue Team by registering his boat and became part of their association.
A few days ago my uncle received another call from Mr.Brackman this time he was asked if he could get his boat to North Carolina to pull people from the flooding left by Hurricane Florence.
Once again he gathered his things, a couple of volunteers (Joe Rodriguez, John Perez) and hit the road heading to Fayetteville, NC...

By the time all the figures were laid out on the table his was astonished to see just the bare necessities with no hiccups being over $2000.00.
Shortly after he left I got a call from my Mother, Theresa Vela-Castaneda asking for help starting this page. I’m doing my best to gather all the information and spread the word.
His team is seeking financial support for fuel, boat, food, lodging and any other necessities needed on the road.
They are hoping as a community we can come together to help fellow Americans and they leave it all in God’s Hands.
