Help John Rebuild His Home

"When you have more than you need, build a longer table not a higher fence."
Anyone who has ever met John Perham knows that there are no limits to how long his table reaches. I doubt he has ever considered building a fence on his property--it would just make it harder to talk to his neighbors! John is one of those friends you're grateful to have if you ever find yourself in a bind... or with a broken down car. He'd be there to pick you up and then probably take you to dinner after.
That's why when a single mother of eight (with four boys still living at home) needed a place to stay, he up and offered his beloved family home as an affordable place to rent for as long as they needed.
That was until today, April 8th. This morning around 11am, an electrical fire started in the master bedroom--rapidly engulfing the entire upstairs. Thankfully, all the humans in the house were downstairs and able to get out safely. (Sadly, the beloved cat, Spooky, did not make it out.)
The only salvageable item left of the home is a bucket of family photographs--which they are thankful for.
In a, "well it can't get worse" fashion-- it does. Unfortunately the home owners insurance had recently expired and the house was not covered at the time of the fire.
There is exactly $0 of insurance to cover this tragic loss.
Our goal is $50k to cover the expenses of rebuilding the home, relocating the Mills family, and generally offering as much assistance as possible. Any amount of donation is welcomed and will be sent to John directly.
Please join us at helping John rebuild a home for his table, where you are welcome to sit at anytime.
A wonderful holiday spent at the Perham house!
a beautiful home that was enjoyed by so many.
