BRING TERRY'S ASHES HOME

Spende geschützt
There are many things that I would rather be writing, but unfortunately the reality of the situation is just this. On February 1st, 2015 Terry Patrick Moore Sr., my baby brother passed away at 27years of age. He was a simple man, amazing father, son, brother, grandson, nephew and soldier. He left so many of us behind.

In 2010, while in the military, Terry had become ill. A virus had attacked his heart and destroyed his aortic valve.   He had undergone open heart surgery for an artificial valve and a pacemaker just before his 25th birthday, and again in the fall of 2013. So, Heart Surgery number two, another valve replacement.  Health issues aside, he was torn when he was medically discharged honorably from the United States Army. Specialist Moore had to start a new life, a new dream, and he just started to do so until he was taken too soon.

You see, when I say that my brother was simple, I mean he liked the simplicity of being a free spirit. In April of 2014 my brother had his first child, Terry Patrick Moore Jr. He loved this boy more than I’ve ever seen him love anyone. Growing up, it was always me and him, and I always seen the different levels of love that my brother had. But I was sure, no I was certain, that this wonderful gift from god would be the one thing that made him see that we aren’t indestructible and can’t live like we are. He spent every waking moment, waiting hand and foot on his wife trying to make her see that her pregnancy was a gift. Unfortunately she didn’t see it that way, but she did get extra attention. After the birth of my nephew, my brother would have walked on water to protect him. Even if it meant he would raise his son alone.

Terry Sr., had filed for a divorce from his wife last fall. While he never successfully got her to sign the paperwork, he was still married when he passed.  She was actually there when he passed; she was one of the last persons to see him alive. While my family has being trying to grieve the loss of my brother, we are finding it difficult because the cause of death is still unknown.  What we do know are the facts, 1. His wife’s statements as to what took place before his final moments constantly change, 2. She is currently serving time in a Texas jail due to the paraphernalia the police found on her while questioning her as to how my brother passed. 3. She voluntarily gave permission for my family to have temporary placement of my nephew instead of the state.  4. Documents found have proven that she is/was pregnant again. 5. There have been several CPS cases during my nephew’s short life that I knew nothing about; all cases were against the mother. 6.This woman doesn’t have custody of her other children.     7. During my brothers lack of capacity after his first surgery she talked him into adding her and her children to his military life insurance policy. Again children she has no rights over. 8. She suffers from many different diseases, anxiety, depression, addiction… that’s just to name a few, 9. My eldest sister went and visited her in the county to ask what happened, her concern was the money. 10.I know that my brother wanted a family, and the ideal of one unfortunately took all the energy he had.

I guess I am sharing this with you in hopes that my family can begin to grieve. My family has spent over $6000.00 out of pocket for the cremation of Terry. The most unfortunate part is, his legal wife, behind bars, refuses to allow my family to have the remains, even just a small portion to have the honor to have a military service and to place him within the military cemetery in Ft. Worth Texas. I know that everyone involved is hurting, but for me, I guess I just want him to be honored as the soldier, simple, great, loving man that he was and always will be in our hearts. His remains remain alone at the Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral home in Allen, TX. Please help my family bring my brother home, even if it is an Urn.

Donations will be used for attorney fees.. We were told this morning $3000.00 just to file the petition in regards to  Terrys remains.
