Nathan and Melissa Wilson just relocated to Harris County in Houston Texas in January of 2017 after Nathan left the military with 5 years of active duty service as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army stationed in Fort Polk, Louisiana.
Nathan accepted a position as a civil engineer for Harris County in Texas. He is a former graduate of West Point class of 2012 and Greensburg Central Catholic High School in Western Pennsylvania class of 2008. He is a former resident of Gilpin Township in Leechburg, PA.
Nathan and Melissa were married two years ago and were on their next journey when they relocated and bought a home in Cypress, Texas. Melissa is the former Melissa Staker who went to high school in Roseville, Michigan and upon moving graduated from Jackson High School in Jackson, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio State University with a degre as an athletic trainer from the class of 2012. Upon graduation she worked as an athletic trainer in the Columbus area for Ohio Health.
Due to the recent catastrophy with Hurricane Harvey, they were forced to evacuate their new home in which they just purchased with a new mortgage. Unforunately they did not have flood insurance and the initial report is that it may be a total loss. They not only stand to lose their new four bedroom 3 bathroom home but also their vehicles, furniture and all clothing and personal belongings they had to leave behind. The estimated costs are approximately $400,000. They will need to accrue as much as possible of course as soon as possible. Any money that should be donated in excess of their losses will be donated to the relief effort to help others in need. I am Nathan's father Kirk Wilson. I still reside in Gilpin Township, in Leechburg, Pennsylvania. . The money will be spent to offset their losses and establish a new home in and around the Houston, Texas area since they have careers established there. They have a new mortgage which they just opened on January of 2017, the house by initial estimates may be a total loss. Also they have completely furnished their four bedroom home, and left all belongings including two vehicles behind. It has been a catastrophic loss for them as well as so many other people in the area.
