On Saturday, July 27th, our family's world was turned upside down. My brother Nate was hospitalized after falling about 30 feet from a ladder while trimming trees at his home. He was severely injured, and was very lucky to come out alive. He has 5 fractures in his spine, a hematoma in his head, a fractured sternum, and 5 fractures in his neck that required surgery to stabilize them and prevent paralysis.
This tragic accident has left him hospitalized indefinitely, with at least 3 months of recovery at a residential rehabilitation center upon release from the hospital. Nate will be out of work during this time, which puts a huge financial burden on him and his wife Leah with keeping up on their everyday expenses as well as handling all of the upcoming hospital bills. Nate and Leah had also recently purchased a house and have been in the process of remodeling before moving in. They have several unfinished projects that need to be completed there, and they were hoping to be able to move in by the fall. Their son, Elliott, is 11 months old, and at their current home he has no room to play.
Nate is a veteran of the Army National Guard and served in Iraq. He is also a musician and has shared his talents with the community by playing countless benefits and fundraisers for local individuals and businesses. Now is our time to give back to Nate and lift him and his wife and child up in their time of great need.
Please donate whatever you can. Any amount is appreciated. Thank you!
