Natalie Lamaro in Gold Coast University Hospital
Natalie Lamaro is 49 years old and collapsed suddenly on 4th April 2018 at a Gold Coast shopping centre and was rushed to hospital by ambulance suffering seizures and loss of consciousness from what was found to be a brain bleed.
Emergency Surgery to remove part of her skull allowed brain swelling to reduce and the surgeon indicated a bleeding clot and took a biopsy with as yet unknown results.
Nat made it through the next few days in an induced coma with family making interstate flights to be at her side in intensive care.
Nat will now face further surgery to replace skull bone and the possibility of further unknown deficits and a long rehabilitation process.
Nat is a fighter and we want to raise money to help support her to get well and pay for her ongoing needs.
Nat previously worked at Cooloongatta airport in security but now faces an uncertain future and unkown what capacity to live independantly.
Natalie’s parents are deceased and her sister is interstate. It is likely Nat will need to relocate to Victoria to be cared for when she is able to be moved.
Ongoing care for Nat will involve care for her while she is in hospital and rehabilitation, relocation costs, mobility aids and therapies and many as yet unknown expenses.
Please consider contributing to help support Natalie to recover from the trauma of her surgery and brain injury .
We hope we can see Nat smile again .
Please note: All funds will be used for Natalie and her care . We will keep posting news of Nats progress.
