Natalie's Dream for a Radically Joyous New World

I am deeply dedicated to supporting folks who are building a better world. My vision is for change making that centers sustainable and focused action that is rooted in our deep love for each other and the non-human world. 

I recently committed to the full Coach Training Program with the Academy for Coaching Excellence ( accredited by the International Coaching Federation) which is giving me the training and support I need to get started as a Life Coach.

What is a Coach? A coach is someone in whose presence people can go past their normal stopping points, and take action on what is important to them. It's all about bringing out the greatness in others so they can contribute that greatness to the world!

I’ve been organizing in social change circles, mostly environmental and anti-racist, for about 10 years and never quite felt fulfilled. I realized that the way I was taught to run and execute strategic campaigns was accompanied with little grounding, gratitude or joy. Our strategic direct actions served the goals of the campaign, but at some point in the process I lost the guiding light of WHY we were taking action. Like so many others, I eventually experienced burnout and took several YEARS off doing movement work.


When I was introduced to and experienced the meaning of deep support I felt expansive, spacious, and joyous. I knew it was something different that could serve our collective creative efforts toward a better world. I was hesitant to commit to the full rigorous 18 month training at first, thinking I could start a business supporting others on the old way I was doing things - cutting corners and skating by, The truth of the matter is that the old model of activism left me tired, confused, and disconnected from my people and vision. I knew I couldn’t go back to doing it that way. This model of centering sustainable and focused action rooted in love gives me a way to fully embody why I am here dismantling oppressive systems and building a new world. I know that we can’t skate by on our old ways of doing things if we are going to win a livable planet with collective liberation. I see that we need to be fully prepared to make big changes and accept support as we undo the old and build the new. To create a new world we can't cling onto the old. 


I have seen a shift taking place in my life and those around me since I started my professional journey training as a Life Coach in March. I am able to show up to support and organize in new spacious ways that hold compassion and opportunity. Through my business as a Life Coach I  will work with clients who will find out what grounds them in their activism, understand their role and what is theirs to contribute, and support them to move past the old obstacles that have held them back. 


I am raising $3,500 to help off set the ~$10,000 in tuition and coaching that I am paying for this program. Your contribution means that for the next 18 months I can more sustainably show up for myself, my organizing collective, my housemates, my clients, and the plants and animals around me who depend on my care.
