Natalia Dahl (age 33), wife and mother of 6, from Grand Forks, ND with reoccurring terminal ovarian cancer is asking you for financial help to finish her treatment. Dahl has been through 14 1/2 cycles of chemotherapy and her body has grown weak. Her liver has been overran by medications and treatments. Doing more chemo will increase her chances to internal bleeding and death.
The risks are greater than the benefit of chemo. She has decided to get help through alternative medicine but insurance companies do not pay.
In September of 2017 she decided to look into alternative treatment due to liver complications. She currently has treatments in-office (at least until February 2018). She also does treatment at home. Naturopathic care has been a promising option due to no side effects and she can enjoy her family. The road looks promising but the financial burden has been weighed heavy due to most treatments are out of pocket with no insurance support.
On November 11, Natalia ended up in the ER than put in the hospital in Rochester for kidney and bladder complications. Her cancer had grown and is looking at making it through the holidays, if that.
History
Natalia was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer in July 2013. She endured a long surgery and 6 rounds of chemo at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
In October 2014, because of the mutation gene BRCA1 (ovarian and cancer gene), she elected to have double mastectomy to reduce and prevent her chances of getting breast cancer.
Two years following, in September 2016, Natalia received news that her cancer had returned. She was again treated with 6 rounds of chemo therapy and finished her last treatment in March 2017.
June 2017, only two months later, she found out her cancer had once again returned. Prognosis is poor due to the severity and resistance to chemotherapy.
