Cece is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She has 4 kids-Marina, Esmie, Frankie and Desiree. She also has 13 grand kids and 3 great grand kids. Not to mention her loving husband James. Our mom is the glue of our family and friends.
On May 22, 2017 we heard of some devastating news that will change this family forever. Our mom was diagnosed with Sinonasal Undifferentiated Carcinoma Squamous Cell SNUC. Basically stage 4 cancer in her sinsus cavity. Our hearts fell as our mom is the center of this family and thought of losing her is unbearable.
She is currently attending doctor appointments to come up with a treatment plan at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, AZ. This facility is located an hours drive from her house. The tumor is a little bigger than an egg by her right eye and they can see some of the cancer has moved to her brain tissue. Due to the location of the tumor and the fact that it is very aggressive and in her brain, they feel surgery is not an option. The doctors stated our mom is going to lose the vision in her right eye due to the tumors location around the nerves to that eye.
The current treatment plan, since they do not want to risk the surgery, is to attack the tumor with radiation 5 days a week for 7 weeks. In addition to the cancer treatment, our mom also suffers from Lupus and fibromyalgia, so it is unknown how these conditions will interact with the radiation treatment.
We will need all the love and support to help her get through this difficult life changing time. My mother is a strong woman, a fighter, and she wants to live for her whole family and friends. If anyone deserves this help its this wonderful woman. My parents are about to get hit with the huge financial burden of fighting cancer and all the related expenses, along with the continued cost of her other health issues.
Our parents have both helped everyone they can...with no questions asked...in times of need. They have been there through good times and in bad for family and friends. Now its our turn to be there for Cece. Please lets come together to help this woman fight for her life, her kids, her family, and her husband.
