Nairy's Mission in Armenia
Hello! I am Nairy Arakelian and I have been volunteering with Ararat Mission Center (AMC) in Armenia for one year. God has placed it upon my heart to stay for another year in order to serve the under-privileged.
For those of you wondering what I’ve been doing in Armenia for a year, I, alongside my AMC team have been fulfilling numerous programs and services, such as:
1) Spreading the Gospel in the Artashat and neighbouring regions in Armenia
2) Weekly visits to the orphanage where we engage with the children by playing with them, taking them for walks outside, and feeding them
3) Weekly visits to under-privileged families of Artashat to pray for them, assess their needs, and provide them with sustenance
4) Weekly English, Russian and Art classes for the children in our organization to strengthen their language skills and nurture their potential
5) Many camps and programs, including Love Camp, a retreat centered on showcasing Christ's love and servitude to disabled children
6) Building Hope, our project dedicated to building homes for the extremely impoverished families of Artashat (we are almost done completing a home for one family
7) Children and teenager's Summer Camps where they learn more about Jesus and Christian values through activities, dance and song, and games
8) Job training programs for the teenagers in our organization to bolster their skills and secure jobs in the future
9) Events such as Sports Day, to promote exercise and fun; as well as Giving Hope Day, where the hope of Jesus is emphasized so the children know they are seen, heard, loved and cared for
10) Monthly seminars where missionaries learn valuable skills in order to be effective and fruitful missionaries in other parts of the world, thus further advancing God's Kingdom
