Nacho's Surgery
Don protégé
Hello!
My name is Diana and I'm looking to raise money to fund a surgery for my dog Nacho.
I found him on the street in July 2017 with a cheesy smile and what seemed like an uncontrollable need to kick up dust (think of when a dog pees and wants to kick their scent around but x100). Didn't think anything of it until he started limping recently and took him to the vet.
As a product of bad breeding, his leg kicks were him trying to kick his knee cap back into place (patellar luxation), which is an undesirable trait that is detectable at around 5 months old. It is highly likely that he was abandoned on the street because he was considered defective and wouldn't bring in as much money which would explain why no one ever came forward when I posted him on so many websites and when scanned, no microchip was found.
He is now at the point where his knee cap is sitting on the outside of his leg and there's no groove to keep it in place anymore.
I don't like asking for help or handouts but I've been taking care of my mom after she had serious complications from surgery earlier this year. She went from being completely independent to needing 24hour care and I've only recently begun to go back to work.
With how much gas has skyrocketed along with everything else it's been difficult to save anything and the vet requires 90% of the cost of surgery before they operate.
Any and all funds will be put towards:
Surgery(s) - may have to operate the other leg
Medications
Therapies
Follow up visits
Transportation
PLEASE HAVE YOUR DOG CHECKED IF YOU NOTICE A LIMP, EXCESSIVE KICKING, KICKS A LEG OUT WHEN THEY SIT, HEAR A CLICK, OR DRAG THEIR FEET!!!
THANK YOU!
