Nabeel family's attempt at a new life

Hello world, I, Julian Adam, set up this GoFundMe page to help my besieged aunt and his family escape the war in Gaza. All funds collected will be transferred entirely to his Bank of Palestine in Gaza. Below is a text written by Malak, my aunt's daughter.

I am communicating with you amid the enormous challenges that have disrupted the fabric of our lives in Gaza. I am Malak Abu Nahel, a first-year programming student at the University College of Applied Sciences in Gaza. I started my first week at university. Soon the war came, which erased the signs of joy that I had previously had, and I carry with me this burden for a family that suffered great loss and displacement.

The devastation of the conflict brought my pursuit of my university degree to an abrupt halt, leaving me and many others in limbo. As the conflict continues into its fifth month, the destruction continues, hampering our ability to access the education we so desperately crave.

The devastation caused by the conflict not only disrupted my education, but also left my family grappling with the harsh realities of life in a war-torn region. We are made up of six individuals who are currently displaced from the northern Gaza Strip to a tent in the city of Rafah, south of the Strip:

We have endured the loss of loved ones, displacement, and the constant struggle to find shelter. Displacement has become the norm in our lives, as my family has been displaced more than nine times and each time we miraculously escaped death. Torn tents have become our only refuge, as we live in harsh conditions and unspeakable suffering.

Moreover, the tragedy has hit our family even deeper. We were bombed in our house without warning, and we emerged from the rubble with wounds, scratches and burns.

My brother is injured

Unfortunately, due to the war, my father's work has stopped, and he has no other source of income. So we need your help to get us out of this crisis.

In the face of this adversity, I remain determined to continue my education, viewing it not just as a personal endeavor but as a beacon of hope for my community.

The urgent need for safety, medical care and livelihood made us consider a trip

away from Gaza.
