Scheerer Family Support Fund

This is Trevor.  His family needs support to defray the major, debilitating expense of 4 years' cancer treatment.

Most recent update from his father Tim:

"We are devastated to let you know that Trevor passed at 1.45pm today peacefully. No words can describe how we feel right now. Our sweet boy is no longer suffering and in pain, Trevor fought a strong fight.

When Trevor was born we thought we would teach him about the world, instead he has taught the world so much more. His Valor and strength did not compare to his heart. Trevor touched so many people's hearts and had a way to light up the room when he walked in with his dancing and humor.
We have endured this journey with the love and support of so many. We were given so many opportunities as a family to cherish what we had, EACH OTHER.
Trevor truly loved life with his friends and family free from pain and celebrated the life he was given. We are honored to call him our son, Emily's courage and compassion stuns us and we were blessed with two amazing children. Their are no words and there is nothing to prepare you for the moment you will not see their face, hold their hand or hear their voice.
Right now we ask you to respect our privacy while we grieve our son and what has happened. We will post details about his service later this week. Thank you all for loving and supporting our Trevor and family."

Previous update:

"It's with a heavy heart that I let you know we brought Trevor home today on hospice. It was only a few months ago that we thought we had beat this monster again. Trevor's scans on January 19th were all clear and showed no evidence of disease. We moved Trevor to a lower dose of chemo as a maintenance type of protocol in early February after a year of heavy chemo and over 20 rounds of proton radiation at CHOP in Philly.

The past few months since Philly life was good and Trevor was attending school regularly and even played basketball at the YMCA this past winter. He was scoring baskets on regulation 10' rims left and right. It seems like just yesterday that he was catching trophy bass, sailfish, playing basketball with Shaq, and loving life.

In the two short months of maintenance the cancer has spread to his lungs, spine bones, chest wall and his bone marrow. The doctors are not sure how long we will have. They said maybe a week or two but probably not much longer."

As parents, this is our collective worst nightmare.  Please take a moment and contribute to support this family in a most difficult time of their lives.
