Mazie Houchens NASA STEM conference

Hello, my name is Mazie houchens . I'm 16 years old and currently in the 10th grade. I am very dedicated and hardworkng  student with a current GPA of 3.75. I have been granted the opportunity to participate in an expanded options program next year at my local Community College. This means that I have the chance to gain my Associates degree at the same time as I get my high school diploma.
     Recently, I received a letter from NASA's National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists, stating that I have been  selected to represent my school and state at the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders. This is one of the biggest STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) conferences held in the United States. At this three day event I will have the opportunity to meet some of the greatest minds in the field of science and technology. Such as Nobel Prize winners, Deans from the worlds top 10 university's, world leaders in science, and our nations most innovative and successful technologists. 
     This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, and the benefits are beyond my imagination. After high school I strive to get into the field of mechanical engineering, so going to this conference will help to push me toward my goals, and put me on the right track for colleges.
