Casper the Friendly Dog

Casper is a very loving, playful, and happy 3 year old MinPin. He is full of life and loves to be around people and other dogs. However two days ago his entire world changed for the worst when he was hit by a car on our street. He suffered a broken femur, head trauma and a broken back that will most likely leave him without the use of his back legs for the foreseeable future. The doctor insists that surgery can fix all of his broken bones and the head trauma will subside over a few weeks but that he most likely will have to use a doggy wheelchair to get himself around. I had a choice to either have him euthanized or to pay for a costly surgery that will save his life. He is still very much alive and alert. I cannot stand to end his life especially since his mind is still there. Casper on wheels is and will always be better than no Casper at all. I am not one to ask others for help as I feel I am inclined to take care of myself and Casper who is my responsibility but his vet bills are simply out of my reach.
