Pieta House
Coming up to my final session with Pieta House, it has been a journey to say the least. Pieta House has not only been a massive aid to me these past few months but hundreds & thousands of so many others both near & far.
Pieta House is a free organisation for those who’ve attempted suicide, suffered the loss of someone due to suicide, and for people who have engaged in self harm. This amazing organisation relies on the generosity of YOU, the public with your generous donations to fund the amazing work carried out by all staff working with Pieta House. A massive 80%+ of the funding Pieta House receives come from donations & fundraisers.
Today I speak from my own experiences with Pieta House. As someone who once did not see a future for themselves & who has struggled with mental illness for multiple years, Pieta House has been my saviour. Without the help & support of Pieta House I do not know where I’d be today.
During this global pandemic things can be tough, for all of us both for our mental wellbeing & financially. We have more time to contemplate things/situations which can be both positive and negative. This can be overwhelming for some if not all of us & can affect our mental health/wellbeing, meaning some of us may need a bit of a hand through it all, a little support, a listening ear, person to speak to & someone to rely on. (HOPE)
*This is where I ask all of you guys for a little help in giving back to this amazing organisation who continue to work through all of this, day & night over the phone in order to keep us fighting & show us that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (Life is worth fighting for)
So PLEASE, donate whatever you can to keepthis service going through everything that is going on around us. To show people that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s okay to ask for help, it’s okay not to be okay, & it’s more than okay to recover & fight through this! We are all in this together.
