Trying to live with ALS
Donation protected
I hate ALS a/k/a as Lou Gehrig's disease. Let me say it again, I hate ALS. I am going into my 10th year of living with ALS. I lost my husband 5 yrs ago and my mom 3 yrs ago, both unexpectedly. My husband and my Mom were my backup plan to take care of the boys. I am now a single Mom of two great boys who are trying their best and have helped me in ways that no son should have to. We have now reached the point of my illness that is requiring 24/7 care. I have worked my whole life and don't want to lose my home that my boys grew up in. If I go into 24/7 care hospice, I will lose my home & do not want my sons to be homeless. I can not afford the care I need & maintain the cost of having a home. I DO NOT want to have to choose between the care needed & my sons security. Ideally in home care over hospice.
