Ashley Clark Fund

So, I'm not sure if you all heard about the 19 year old girl from Elmira Oregon, that was driving her red Corolla, Feburary 23rd on 18th Ave in Eugene and was tboned by a man who was driving a stolen Prius...well she is my niece Ashley Clark. She is in ICU with a brain bleed, broken vertebrae, broken clavicle, broken sternum, punctured lung, 3 broken ribs, her pelvis is cracked in two spots, & a broken femur which they have held together with a rod and two pins. She has now contracted a fever and has had a blood transfussion. The dr's retested her blood and it has only risen .6 % this is not good. This means that her blood is collecting in the areas around her wounds. This puts her at a high risk for conditions ranging from bruising, clotting, lower blood pressure than whats healthy and pnemonia. She has a cut on her right eyelid and the left side of her face is cut up pretty badly. She had many pieces of glass removed but there were some they had to leave in as it would cause more damage to remove them. She bit a hole through her tongue and lip upon impact. She has several stitches and there have been times she has stopped breathing. Her outsides look okay but her insides are getting worse. She is in critical condition. She Graduated in 2012 from Elmira High School. She graduated early and at the top of her class...she earned her CNA license before she was 18 and had been working as a caregiver and entertainment director at Sherwood Pines Residential Care Facility in Veneta to put herself through college majoring in Biochemical Engineering. She was in her last semester at LCC before transferring to U of O. Her love for people and their well being is what has given her the drive to work so hard to accomplish her dream of helping people in need. But, now it is her turn. Her car is now totalled and she will be unable to work for months to come. She has lots of physical therapy that will be needed. She will be in a wheel chair for some time and she will have another leg surgery next year. Her life is now on hold. My niece is most talented. She is a self taught ukulele and piano player, she is a singer, writer, artist and has performed in plays that used to be put on at the highschool. She is the most forgiving of hearts Ive been blessed to know. Her first concern to medics, after coming to from the wreck was for the well being of the suspect and his health. Last night when i was expressing my frustrations that the suspect didn't even have a scratch on his face and was able to run from the scene...she said "that is good". Her loving heart is more forgiving than mine could ever be. I am starting this fundraiser to help offset costs for medical bills, physical therapy, unpaid school bills for this term and hopefully a car for her to drive someday. I ask that you please help in any amount possible. Every penny will help her! If you are unable to give, will you please pass along this link so that word spreads?  At least...id like people to know the aftermath of what drinking and driving or driving while on drugs can cause. That alone might save someone elses life.  Thank you so much in advance for your generousity!
