Guatemala Relief Fund

Half way the month of November, Guatemala was struck by hurricane Iota and Eta. The storms ravaged people's homes and shelters, and has made accessing parts of the country all the more difficult.
As a father of two, a 2 year old and a 1.5 month old, I cannot fathom the circumstances people are going through. How do you put to sleep a baby that is hungry when there is no food? This is just one of the many questions that have haunted me for the past two weeks.
Habitat for Humanity Guatemala is the organization that will be receiving whatever funds we get to collect. I find great comfort in knowing that this is a worldwide organization with an outstanding reputation, aside from knowing people who are on the leadership board. This is the breakdown of how the funds are distributed:
- Food kits (35$): feeds a family of 5 for 2 weeks.
- Cash Voucher (50$): supplies of economic income by covering payment of basic services or rent.
- Hygiene Kit (70$): provides safe filtered water, gloves, sanitizer, among other things.
