Hello my dearest friends and family!
I would like to start off by saying how faithful God is! As many of you know two years ago I journeyed to France for two and a half weeks on a mission trip with my church, where we used swing dancing as our outreach. Before my team and I left, we spent about a month before hand choreographing and practicing with our partners. Our outreach involved setting up our swing band on some street in France and then performing one of our group routines. This would draw a large crowd. After a few dances we would ask the Parisian people and other tourists if they would like to learn how to dance. This opened a beautiful opportunity for us to share our love of Christ with them. This trip was fruitful and also challenging. Many accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and even more seeds were planted. Each individual on the team grew in some area of their faith.
I recently discovered that Calvary Fellowship high school youth and young adults are headed back to France on a very similar mission trip. However, this time in addition to assisting our sister church in Paris, we will also be traveling to Bourges, (and potentially Nice), to assist our other sister churches as well. I was faced with making a decision of going back or spending a month serving elsewhere. I prayed night and day and God was clear that I had been called to return to one of my favorite countries. How loving and faithful God was (and still is) for answering my prayers so clearly!
Truthfully, I am nervous for this trip. It is intimidating to face a language barrier and potential rejection. However I am hopeful that this trip will:
-Break the chains of fear within my teammates and myself.
-Bring hope and light to a place that has been affected by recent suffering.
-Spread and proclaim Jesus!
-Change hearts forever.
-Allow us to assist our sister churches in ways they truly need.
-These things among many others!
So, I am writing to ask you to prayerfully consider donating to allow me to take this journey once again. I need to raise a total of $1,950. Two years ago, God proved faithful by providing the money needed in less than one month and I fully trust that He will provide once again. Any amount will help this to be possible.
