Team Get Well Jewel

While in college at USC Upstate, Jewel took very ill and didn't know what was going on with her body. She lost over 30lbs in one month and couldn't hold food down. In January 2014 she was admitted to the hospital with blood level of 3.5. The drs scrambled to save her life. With so many test, they concluded that she has Ulcerative Colitis, a form of Corhn's disease. She's been in and out of the hospital the whole year of 2014, and was diagnosed with another underlining condition of the rare disease that effects her skin, eyes, spleen, and joints. Autoimmune disease called Pyoderma Gangrenosum. It's very painful and requires medical infusions, wound care, and heavy doses of steroids. This year has started rough once again effecting her eye and requires her to see specialist out of the area. Duke medical, Emory medical, and the Mayo clinic in Minnesota. Many ppl have asked what they can do to help out, being a single mother and having to take time off from work, take her to dr visits, and travel wherever the drs tell us to go has taken a toll on us. I'm the type of person that handles things on my own, but God has brought me to my knees to where I need to ask for help. This fund is set up for gas, food, medical bills, hotels stays for the long road to recovery ahead. God is in the miracle business and in full agreement that Jewel will be cured. #teamgetwelljewel.
