Washrooms for Tanzanian School

Donation protected
My name is Jandeh Fortune and I am  16 years old and a grade 11 student. I am on the Music Council with the responsibility of fundraising for related events. This year, in addition to our own activities we are committed to fundraising for a secondary school located in Shirati, a town in Tanzania. My teacher in the music department has been involved in building the school and we as students decided to support this effort.

In Shirati only 2 percent of students graduate from Secondary School and this new school is filling a big gap. The first enrollment begins this year and will be teaching technical skills such as sewing, carpentry and electrical. These are skills that young graduates can use to build their community and more importantly for their own livelihood.

The Music Council is commited to building a washroom facility with 4 toilets and handwashing stations for the students.  This is an important contribution from peers as students of Shirati Technical School need the dignity, privacy and safety of decent bathrooms at their school.

As a young person who is from two continents -- Africa and North America, I know how important this contribution will be for young people.  I want to raise enough money to ensure this happens and thank you for helping me to attain this.
