Metastatic Breast Cancer Retreat

Hello my name is Jay Lynn and I am raising funds for my daughter Laura and my son in law Chance.

As many of y’all know Laura has been battling Metastatic Breast Cancer (stage 4) since November 30th, 2020. This is her second battle with this terrible disease, Her first breast cancer battle was in September 2015. She was in remission for just under 5 years when her & Chance learned it had returned & it’s stage 4. Metastatic Breast Cancer isn’t curable but it is treatable. She has been stable for 2 years. The cancer is in many places in her bones, liver, and the outside of her right lung.

While Laura is remaining stable she is in her 24th week (cycle 8) of chemotherapy. She has been trying to manage treatments along with all of the pain cancer has brought to her in her spine, back, and body.

There is an organization called Little Pink Houses of Hope giving Breast Cancer survivors and Metastatic Breast Cancer patients and their families a chance to get away for a week long vacation and retreat to enjoy themselves and help them focus on celebrating life. Laura applied for the retreat not thinking she would be chosen… Well.. she received an email letting her know she had been chosen to attend one of Little Pinks retreats in Ocean City, Maryland June 4-10, 2023. There are retreats ALL over the United States in 21 different locations and they choose 11 different families for each location. The BEST part about ALL if this.. Chance will be able to attend with her!! They’re both so deserving of this!! They get to Get away from everything surrounding cancer, No treatment, doctor appointments, or scans for an entire week!! They also get to Reconnect with each other, just have fun for a whole week and connect with stage 4 cancer patients and their families along with survivors from ALL over the United States.

Everything is included in their trip except travel and car rental. They would like to each purchase plane tickets and car rental for the week.

I have created this Gofund account for them to not have to worry about the travel expenses and they can just sit back and enjoy themselves. Laura and Chance are not ones to ask for help ever, They have always figured it out the best way they can.

Please just continue to pray for Laura as she continues to fight stage 4 cancer everyday to live and remain stable for the days, months, and years ahead.
