consumers power assistance

This is probably the hardest and most humbling thing I have ever done in my life.  My husband had our power put under consumers winter protection plan, we basically paid $189.00 a month, consumers did not read our meter for almost 18 months and then told us that our overages accumulated to $3700.00. During the process of investigation on this my husband decided to cheat on me, take everything of value out of the house while I was at work, and leave me for his new girl. Leaving me with this bill as well. I have tried to go through D.H.S. and Salvation Army, but because I work I do not qualify for any of their assistance programs. There is no consideration for the 2nd source of income being absent now that my husband is gone. I have until march 3rd before the final 14 day hold is up and consumers will be out to disconnect my power. My divorce will not be final until at least april, so I will recieve no help from my ex.  I can maintain my household if I can just get through this difficult time, I'm hoping that GOD leads some very generous and charitable people to this page. Please help this middle class woman who is trying to make a new life after 16 wasted years.
