Myra's Honduras Mission

My name is Myra Gilmore and I am a senior at Blue Mountain College majoring in English with a minor in history. I am a member of Common Ground Church in Wren, Mississippi.  For the past three years I have been going on mission trips to Honduras where I have been vistiting the Good Shepherd Childrens Home and Academy. As I became more familiar with the home and how it ministers to the children of Honduras I felt the Lord calling me to apply to teach there . I am thrilled that I was recently accepted for a year long position to teach English and history to the 5th, 6th, and 7th graders there. As with all missionaries, I must raise my own support. The $15,000 will cover my travel and living expences in Honduras.  I will need to raise this money by spring of 2018. I can't wait to get back to this place that I have fallen in love with. I am excited to be there for more than a week to share the love of Christ with these kids as I teach them, play with them, and live alongside them.
