Myles Ear Journey

Hi, and thank you for even reading our story. Myles was born with a birth defect called Microtia- Grade 3. We believe it was caused by a fertility med called Clomid. Although we’ll never know for sure our focus now is ear reconstruction surgery. There are very few doctors in the US that perform this surgery on a daily basis so we must travel to California to have the surgery done by Dr.Lewin. Although we do not anticipate going until Summer 2019 there are many costs in the meantime that must be covered to get us to that point. If you choose to donate, thank you. You are such a blessing to our family in a way that we could never repay you. We believe whole heartedly that God will make a way to get us to the surgeon to perform the reconstruction successfully. Just like he made a way for the hearing device in the meantime. We have been told by several medical professionals that Myles is fine, and although we know he is other wise healthy we can acknowledge that he is speech delayed & has no idea how to localize sound. This can be very dangerous around vehicles or as he gets older & begins to drive if you cannot tell where sound is coming from. Unilateral hearing comes with a long list of concerns. Your donation would go towards the out of pocket expenses that are not covered by insurance, the travel expenses to get our family to California, & the 14 day required stay following the surgery. If you cannot donate, that is absolutely okay, please just say a prayer for the journey.  After all that is far more powerful than money. No donation is too small & know our family deeply appreciates your time & generosity.
