Help Ben get Hips!

Hello, friends and family! As many of you already know, I've been struggling for a few years with a genetic disorder which causes hip dysplasia to occur at an early age. About 2 years ago, when Renae and I heard of this hip procedure that could fix the problem and gain me back my mobility, we felt sure that this is what God wanted for me in order to be able to live an independent and effective life. 

The first hip surgery in September went very well, and we were excited for the second surgery (on the right hip) to go just as well or better due to the experience and knowledge we had gained while recovering from the first surgery. Little did we know, that's not what God had for us. Another major infection and corrective surgery later (late February), and we find ourselves back in the hospital waiting for another surgery on Monday (3/26).

The best way to explain the difficulty is to imagine you're coming to the light at the end of a very long tunnel, only to find out that the light was actually a train you must dodge before continuing on your way through the tunnel. :)

Despite all of this, our friends family and faith in God have kept Renae  and I anchored and in excellent spirits-- ready to face whatever the next leg of the journey entails (pun intended). 

Speaking of friends, Renae and I have been so humbled by such an out-pouring of love, affection, prayers and offers of help since all of this first occurred. 

tl;dr: If you would like to help and have $1 or $5 you wouldn't mind parting with, all contributions would go to gas/food/hotels related to our recent hospital stays.
