Mya’s Wheelchair Conversion Van

Mya’s current wheelchair accessible van is quickly becoming unreliable and we are now needing to purchase a new one. We’ve researched a ton of vans and this model van (Toyota Sienna) works the best with Mya’s wheelchair. The conversion cost however is $31,466!! We’ve decided to go new so that we have a warranty for a good number of years. Also we have a hard time buying a used wheelchair van from a family as it usually means they have lost a loved one.  Just hard to think about and deal with mentally.   We’ve trialled numerous demonstration vans in the showrooms with the rear and side loading and this model is definitely the best.



There is so much room to maneuver her chair when loading! And with it being a side entry (we currently have a rear entry van) we don’t have to load Mya in first then load up the back of the van with everything,just to unload it all when we have to take Mya out!! Such a pain when travelling on the ferry doing hospital trips to Vancouver!! We have $10,698 left to go to have the conversion portion of the van covered.  The van conversion is done by Vantage Mobility International in Phoenix and is shipped to Canada to various wheelchair conversion dealers.  We’ve had two quotes prepared and both have been the same price and both companies get their vans from Vantage Mobility.  Any help you can give us is truly appreciated!
