MYANMAR MISSION TRIP SPRING BREAK 2020

I am going to Myanmar during spring break from March 6-16 as part of team from Calvary Church.  Calvary has partnered with Agape Orphanage near the capitol city of Yangon for several years. A few times a year, during the cooler, dry months of December through March, Calvary sends teams to visit Myanmar.  


Myanmar (formerly Burma) is a Southeast Asian nation of more than 100 ethnic groups, bordering India, Bangladesh, China, Laos and Thailand.  According to statistics from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement for 2018, 280 orphanages across Myanmar are home to more than 36,000 orphans. As there are also non-registered orphanages, the number children without parents in the country is likely to be higher than that that.


Being part of one of these trips has been weighing on my heart for several years and I have decided to step out on faith and make the journey this year. 

The total cost for the trip $2000.  This includes travel expenses as well as the cost of items we take with us to bless the children and staff at the orphanage.  While we are there, our team will be sharing the love of Christ with the children.  We will also be supplying them with vitamins, hygiene items, toys, clothing, and games.
