Nicole’s son, Kaden is 11, and he struggles with oppositional defiant disorder and conduct disorder, depression, as well as anxiety, bipolar disorder and ADHD. He is absolutely one of the sweetest boys you’d ever meet. He has a heart of gold and loves the Lord. He’s struggled with these demons since the age of 4, but have progressively gotten more severe in the last 3 months to the point of self harm, running away, multiple trips to the local behavioral health facility with no relief. My name is Kylee Bell, and I live in Northwest Arkansas where I met Nicole, she is one of my sweet friends and coworkers. Nicole told me that one of the doctors most recently states that “if you don’t do something else soon, he has a very minimal chance of contributing to society.” My heart absolutely breaks for sweet Kaden and my friend’s family. He babysat my two little boys and was absolutely sweeter than ever with them- HE even initiated asking if my boys were ready to eat lunch the last time we saw them.

Based on the current status of his mental health, my friend and her family are no longer able to give him the support that he needs, and the cheapest place that actually  accepts boys his age for the behaviors that he struggles with costs $52,500.00 for one year.  Nicole told me that when she finally uncovered this opportunity after years of searching, “My tears of joy soon turned into tears of unbearable disappointment when I found out the tuition rate. Enrollment fee of $6,000 and a monthly tuition of $3,800 plus the gift cards required for medical and personal needs while they are there. This is not to mention travel costs associated with this investment either as this school is quite a distance away and will require frequent trips and overnight stays for visits and parent training. There are no scholarships offered and insurance will not pay for this type of treatment facility. My medical insurance will not even cover a residential treatment stay despite us paying over $600/month for coverage.  I have applied for loans to cover the cost, but all have been denied. This is likely because my monthly income is far less then what the monthly tuition rate is even as a health professional.”

Nicole has been unable to work due to the recent quarantine, and she is the primary caregiver for her son. She has a heart of gold and I would love nothing more than for her son to get the help that he needs. We are asking for your prayers and anything you can give financially would be a blessing for this family. He is even unable to start till they have $10,700.00 upfront. Please share this with everyone you know so we can get him the help he needs.
